ISSUES
PUBLIC SAFETY
Public safety is one of my top priorities. I stand with our law enforcement officers and believe they must have the tools, training, and support they need to do their jobs effectively. Rising crime and growing homelessness are serious concerns in our communities, and we can’t afford to ignore them. I’m committed to real, community-based solutions that improve safety without adding layers of ineffective bureaucracy. Every Oregonian deserves to feel safe in their home, their neighborhood, and their daily life.
LOCAL CONTROL
While Oregon politicians are forcing high density, mass housing developments into our local small communities that come with many of Portland's problems, I recognize the importance of local governance and its impact on housing, growth, and land use. I champion the idea that decisions about housing and development should be made by those who know the community best: its residents and local leaders. I am committed to empowering communities with the ability to shape their own growth and development policies, enabling them to preserve their unique character while responsibly accommodating necessary changes.
EDUCATION
Our schools need to prioritize academics over politics. Less than 45% of students can read at grade level, and math is even worse. I’ve received national news coverage in the fight against the extreme woke policies in schools. You can be sure this dad and grandpa will always show up for our kids and parental rights.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Fiscal responsibility starts with respecting the taxpayers who fund our government. I believe every dollar collected should be spent wisely, with transparency and accountability. That’s why I oppose the recent transportation package that raises gas taxes, vehicle fees, and payroll taxes at a time when Oregonians are already struggling with high costs. Instead of adding new taxes, we should focus on cutting waste and prioritizing essential infrastructure needs like road maintenance and safety improvements. I’ll always stand up for responsible budgeting that keeps Oregon affordable for working families and small businesses.
